Matthew Miller, CFRE, CSPG, FAHPPhilanthropy has been a driving force in Matt’s life, both from his childhood benefitting from donor funded after-school programs and to finding his calling as a fundraiser. Beginning his career with the YMCA, Matt gained extensive experience in the fundraising space while establishing himself as a respected community builder and leader. Currently serving as Chief Philanthropy Officer for Bozeman Health Foundation in Bozeman, Montana, Matt is known for his process-oriented and collaborative approaches to fundraising, strategic planning, and relationship building expertise. He was humbled to be included in the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy's 40 Under 40 Class of 2019, to twice receive the Healthcare Philanthropy Journal Award for thought contributions to the sector in 2020 and 2022, and to earn Fellow designation (FAHP) in 2024.
With two decades of industry experience, Matt is passionate about uniting people with their favorite causes and showing them how gifts of any size can bring transformational change. Outside of the office, Matt has served on multiple non-profit boards, including local chapters of Family Service Association and the YMCA, consulted on fundraising and stewardship efforts in the church community, and currently serves on the Oversight Committee of the Milton Murray Fund for Philanthropy. In his personal life, Matt teaches Sunday School at his church, is a youth soccer coach and referee, and is an advocate for the youth of Children and Family Services and the foster-care system. He and his wife, Kristin, reside in the Gallatin County, Montana community with their four children. |
